Sharing of our OBS Camp Learning Experiences

Dear all,

SGT (NPCC) Sim Chun Han and I are honoured to be nominated by the unit to attend a 5days and 4nights OBS Camp during the November Holiday period dated 8th Nov – 12th Nov 2011.

OBS stands for Outwards Bounds Singapore where we get to experience many outdoor survivor skills such as field cooking, tent-pitching and kayaking etc. No doubt it was tiring and mental draining, we still managed to complete this camp successfully and learn the maximum of what we can out of it.

Hence, this OBS Camp article written by both of us to share with the unit our fruitful and enjoyable camping experiences.

Notice : 17th Batch Hierarchy

Dear all,

12 cadets from the 17th Batch had cleared the Cadet Leader’s probation term which lasted for 3 months from June to September 2011.

These leaders exhibited excellent leadership qualities and good behaviour; they are consistent in their attendance and in their performance as a role of a leader. They are also great motivators and role models to their fellow junior cadets.

Hence, they are appointed as Cadet Leaders (CL) with effect from September 2011.

Spearheading the unit is SGT (NPCC) Pang Yong Kai, the newly appointed Chairman of Bishan Park Secondary School NPCC Unit, who had performed outstandingly and demonstrated quality of an exemplary leader during the whole phase of probation.

He will be undertaking the responsibility of managing the unit together with his committee to develop our cadet into ‘Caring and Responsible Citizens’ and also to steer the unit towards greater height.

Lastly, Congratulations to all newly appointed Cadet Leader and you can find the hierarchy of 17th batch here.
